200 years? There's an app for that
| 20 May 2010
The Hartford, the venerable and trusted financial services company, turned 200 years old last week. Happy birthday!
Amidst the internal celebrations and external recognition, the company also released an iPhone app, a tool for its auto insurance customers to collect information and get help if they’re involved in an accident. The timing was far from coincidental.
The Hartford is cleverly using its bicentennial to communicate its relevance for the next 200 years. From its branding to its new technology initiatives, the company is pushing its forward-looking achievement-focused positioning. And we’re proud to have been a part of this program: We literally helped make their iconic Stag logo look forward. And we customized the new brand to work on the iPhone, too.
Clever. Smart. And a great little app that’s keeping a 200 year old brand relevant for today.
